“It’s really hard to give money away.” When I started advising families on their philanthropy, I heard this often, and thought it was an unusual comment. Many years later, I understand what they mean — it’s easy to hand out checks; it’s harder to ensure every dollar does as much good as possible.

Market Creek and the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Improvement was the scene for over 1000 people last Saturday morning. The new owners are committed to continuing to address the needs of the community through expanded services including a new health hub featuring much-needed medical services, such as after-hours urgent care and all-inclusive care program for elderly community members.
